How It’s Done
During a session, the person lies on their side while the practitioner protects the skin with a cloth or paper barrier. A candle, usually made from wax-coated cloth, is gently placed into the outer ear. The other end is lit, and the heat is believed by practitioners to dry out earwax and support its natural elimination from the ear.
